I have
given some more thoughts on Badhaka in this part.
One
should always remember Rahu is the natural Badhaka. He owns the 11th
house. The 11th house is the top point of Kama Trine (3, 7 and 11).
In the chart of Kala Purusha, the starting point is Mesha. Rahu owns 11th
house. So for Chara Rasis the 11th house is Badhakasthana. Move the
Lagna (Starting Point) by one house in the clockwise direction. So also move Rahu by one house. You know Rahu / Ketu moves in
the anti-clockwise direction. So move it in the reverse direction. Count the
houses from Lagna. It is 9. So for all sthira Rasis 9th house is Badhakasthana.
Again move the lagna by one house. Move Rahu by one house in the reverse
direction. For all chara-chara (Upaya) sthanas the badhakasthana is the 7th
house.
So we
should know that Badhakam is mainly identified with the association of Rahu. It
is nothing but the curse of Sarpa Deva. Do not imagine that people have
obtained the wrath of Sarpa (Snake). If you find in the epics Sarpa is
identified with Adhishesha. The Seat of Lord Vishnu who is the mother of all
creations is Adhishesha. The one that sits on the head of Lord Shiva is a
Sarpa. If you go to a Shiva Temple you will always see Lord Shiva in the form
of Lingam (Nirguna Brahmam) is always seen with a Sarpa performing an umbrella
posture to Him. This shows that our Hindu system has given a very important
place to Sarpa Deva. If onegets the wrath of such important person, it clearly
indicates that he incur the wrath of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva Themselves.
Certainly he will face hurdles, obstructions etc., during the period of
Badhakathipathi. The troubles will be more when
·
Badhakathipathi
is in the star of Rahu.
·
Badhakathipathi
is aspected, or conjoined by Rahu.
Generally
Rahu, if placed in Lagna, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th,
8th and 12th houses it is identified as Rahu Dosha. When
Rahu gets associated with Badhakathipathi the problems are more.
You may
be knowing our ladies of yester years will be sprinkling milk for ant-hill (In
Tamil we call it as புற்று மண் } which will normally
be found in Kali or Mariamman temples during Fridays especially during the
month of Aadi (Ashada) and Thai (Makara).
The following remedies are prescribed in old and
traditional Astrology Books like Prasna Marga.
·
If
Rahu is placed in 6th, 8th, 10th or Badhaka
houses Sarpa Bali as per prescribed texts are to be performed. This is normally
done at Rameswaram.
·
If
Rahu is in 4th house installation of an image of a sarpa devatha is
to be done in a Shiva Temple. This is also done at Rameswaram.
·
If
Rahu is in 12th house, arrange music and dance programmes during a
festival at a temple.
·
Rahu
in Lagna needs sprinkling of milk on a Sarpa deity or ant hill in a temple.
·
Rahu
in 5th house is to be balanced with a Thila Tharpanam at Rameswaram.
·
Rahu
in second house is to be balanced with Abishekam to a Sarpa Deity at a Temple.
·
Rahu
in 7th house is to be balanced by arranging Dance programme and
devotional songs at a temple during the Aadi or Thai months.
·
Rahu
in Chara Rasi: Small eggs of gold or silver are offered to a Serpant Deity –
symbolic of broken eggs.
·
Rahu
in Sthira Rasi: Plant Trees (It is symbolic of destruction of ant hills and
abodes of serpants.
·
Rahu
in Chara Chara Rasi: Dedicate a small serpant made of gold or copper (Symbolic
of killing the snakes).
Please
note that if Rahu is in any way connected with Badhakesha the above remedies
are compulsory as told in scriptures.
If
Jupiter is associated with Badhakasthanathipathi and is placed in 6th,
8th or 12th houses, and Rahu is in Kendrasthana to
Jupiter, then the curse is to be identified from the superior serpents. If
Gulika or Mandhi is in Kendra instead of Rahu then the curse is from inferior serpents.
If Sun
is associated with Rahu, then the serpents are beneficial with an intention of
doing a long term good if Serpent Deities are propitiated. For example Rahu is
placed in Badhaka House aspects Sun. It shows that superior serpents will help
due to some good karma of the native in a past birth. This may manifest in the
form of learning subjects like Medicine, Astrology and Occult Sciences. It may
also indicate that if the native start practicing yoga seriously he can achieve
Kundalini Yoga.
On the
other hand if Moon is associated with Rahu, it shows the intent of evil minded
serpants to cause trouble and disaster.
Please
note that the planets in Kendra to the Badhakasthanathipathi will always help
the Badhakesha. If Rahu becomes Athmakaraka and if associated with
Badhakathipathi it indicates that birth is due to the curse of Serpent Deities.
The
sixth Lord in 9th house or the ninth lord in 12th house
or the Sun in the Sixth House indicates the displeasure of Father. Similarly
the sixth lord in the fourth house or the 4th Lord in 12th
House indicates the displeasure of mother. If either of them is associated with
Badhakathipathi, one should do remedial measures. One should serve his / her
parents if they are alive. Or one should go to Kashi Kshethra (Varanasi), carry
Ganga water in a pot, add Vilvam to that and perform abishekam to Lord Kasi
Viswanatha for a minimum of 3 days, then perform Shradham in Gaya, donate new
clothes to elders (male for father and female for mother), provide them food,
give them walking stick, chapels, bed and pillow, a fan etc along with money
and seek their blessings falling at their feet.
Ladies
and Gentlemen, please note that if one is not performing the pitru karma incur
the wrath of dead people. If Sharadha is not performed for a soul, then the
soul, according to Garuda Puranam, remains in the form of Pysasa and this
affects the relatives. This is very well indicated by the presence of Gulika/
Ketu in the Badhakasthana. This is a great problem. The badhakathipathi will
always cause catastrophic punishments to the native.
·
If
Gulika / Ketu is in any manner associated with Mars either by conjunction or by
aspect or by occupying the stars of Mars or placed in Mesha or Vrichika, the
danger is sudden accidents, burn injuries, weapons or smallpox thus resulting
in death,
·
If
the association is with Saturn this indicates poverty and misery resulting in
death.
·
If
Rahu is associated with Gulika then the death may be due to snake bite or
severe poison or suffering with severe pain before death.
The sign
occupied with Gulika / Ketu identifies the pysasa sex and relationship also. If
it is 4th house or its Lord then it is not an outsider but a
relative of the native. The Astothatriamsa indicates the age of the Pysasa. It
is D108 division chart. If in the beginning it indicates young age and if near
the end it indicates old age. One should follow remedial measures like Shradha
in Kasi Kshethra – it should be Parvana Shradha, Tila Homa etc are to be done.
If Badhakesha
is associated with Lagna or lagna Lord and Gulika it is a form of Drishty
Badhaka. If Badhakesha is associated with 6th or 8th
house or their lords it is another form of Drishty Badhaka. If Rahu / Gulika is
associated with 4th, 5th, 7th or 8th
house it is another form Drishty Badhaka. In such cases, one should look for an
aspect of benefic planet. If such aspect is there, then wear the stone of the
benefic planet. This will help.
