Relationship potential of an individual with regard to marriage and married life - A new Approach sycronised with old theory

Astrology is all about analysing and determining the probabilities of relationship issues between two souls while interacting with each other. every soul is unique and is occupying a jeevan with a certain purpose and a certain goal. Marriage is an institution which creats a merger of two souls through two jeevans and is an opportunity mechanism for their interaction through a lifetime period.  That is why it is called as Upapadham in Vedic Astrology meaning a pair of legs walking together.

As per Karma theory, one is destained to interact with people with whom one has a karmic connection pending from previous births. The experience gathered by these karmic interactions are revealed through the individual charts. It will certainly reflect in the natal chart at the time of birth. When two such souls interact through a relationship, their chances of relationship compatibility depend entirely on their basic needs and personality traits, values etc. The strength of such a relationship depends on the success of these traits, values etc.,and their mutual acceptability. The emphasis is therefore on the basic needs, potential and tendencies of a person.

Ascendant is the physical entity of a person. So this has a vital role in relationships. The ascendant defines the descendant - the first house called Lagna defines the descendant of the first house - that is the 7th house called Kalathira Bava. This 7th house is a highly sensitive point in any chart and it clearly addresses the relationship matters with reference to the spouse.

Again luminaries Sun and Moon play a major role. Sun is the ruler of Atman of a person. He brings light to the entire solar system. That is why he rules the Atman. He is Atmakarakan. Moon rules the mind. He is Manokarakan.

Mars rules over all males. Venus rules over all females. It is a famous saying that Men are from mars and women are from Venus. Mars leads and Venus follows.

So for a relationship matter through a marriage we need to concentrate and analyse the following significators.

  • Ascendant - Lagnam
  • Seventh House
  • Ascendant Lord
  • Lord of the Seventh House
  • Sun
  • Moon
  • Mars
  • Venus
Also as a secondary factors we should also analyse 2nd house signifying the family, 8th house which signifies the family of the spouse, 5th house which signifies mind, 12th house which signifies upa padha.

The ruler of the seventh house is the shadow planet as per Jung Theory which we have discussed early. This show the facets of the native's personality that are strongly played out through marital relationships. We have to check the influence of this planet and the houses and planets that receive the influence from this planet via placement, conjunction and aspects.

The planets in the 7th house also play a major role. If Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are placed either alone or together it indicates a possible crisis. But if they are placed along with Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus it reduces the negative effects. Again these so called good planets Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are placed with out a combination with either Sun or Mars, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu they also play a spoil sport.

To sum it all one should thoroughly analyse the following:

  • dominant elements
  • dominant quality
  • judgement of temperament through placement of planets in male / female signs
  • moon and venus which explain about emotional pattern
  • planets in Navamsa sign
  • The houses owned by Mars and Venus if they have a relationship with ascendant or 7th house
Judgement through Elements:

We all know that we are all ruled by 5 elements, viz., fire, earth, air water and ether. The ether is all pervading. The other four elements rule the individual signs.
Again Sun and Mars are ruled by Fire. Moon and Venus are ruled by Water. Mercury is ruled by earth. Saturn is ruled by Air.
While judging the native's horoscope one has to notice which element has the predominance in the horoscope. And also analyse if there is clash between the element of the planet and element of the sign.

If fire is predominant the native will be enthusiastic and passionate about a relationship.
If earth is predominant, the native will be stabel and will have a prudent approach to the relationship.
If air is predominant the native will have an intellectual approach to a relationship.
If water is predominant the native will approach the relationship with deep emotionalism.

Judgement through Quality:

If more planets are in Chara Rasis, it makes a native good in initiating the relationship and active at perusal of alliance matter.
If more planets are in Sthira Rassis, the native is more likely to be stubborn, watchful, thoughtful and a bit slower in pursuing an alliance.
If more planets are in Ubaya Rasis, the native will be adaptable and also show signs of getting persuaded and are of compromising nature.
